Free, drop-in meditation sessions will be offered for any faculty, staff or students starting the week of July 18th. Meditation is one specific technique, along with exercise and taking stretch or walk breaks, that we can apply during the workday to keep stress in check. This is a non-denominational, secular practice. No prior meditation experience needed.
A typical session will be 5 min. of introduction, 15-20 min. silent sitting, or sitting and movement, then 5 min. of Q & A. All sessions begin at 12:15 and end at 12:45. Faculty and staff with meditation practices are volunteering to leading these weekly sessions.
The schedule is:

(starts July 18th)
TUESDAYS 12:15 p.m. in the Merrill Lounge
(note: does not start until July 26th)
