Digital Pedagogy Round Table

Faculty and instructors from across the university will offer lightning talks about new assignments and classroom strategies that integrate technologies into their pedagogy. Join the Digital Pedagogy group for a broad introduction to innovative learning possibilities.

The presentations will cover a broad range of topics, from digital exhibit building as a final class assignment to creating and employing video taped lectures and classroom content. The panel will consist of:

 

  • Benefits of a Flipped Classroom
    Matthew Clapham (Earth and Planetary Sciences)
  • Omeka as a platform for student research
    Renee Fox (Literature)
  • The Learning Glass for hybrid and online instruction
    Herbie Lee, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs (Applied Math and Statistics)
  • Google Earth for teaching spatial and global thinking
    Elaine Sullivan (History)
  • From flipped to fully online
    Max Tarjan (Ecology and Evolutionary Biology)
